24/5 ConstructionLast year, students told us they needed longer hours at the library. This year, we’re happy to announce that construction for 24/5 hours is underway!

The new 24/5 hours will span from Sunday to Friday and will only include access to the first floor of Stapleton Library. No services will be offered after regular library hours, and we plan to hire a security officer to monitor the library during its late-night hours.

You may have seen or heard some of the modifications being installed on the first floor of Stapleton this week. We installed new doors to the Stapleton stairwell, which will allow us to close off access to the other floors of the library. We are also in the process of installing a gate in front of Media Circulation to secure media resources, and installing security cameras around the first floor. View photos of our progress via Facebook.

We apologize for any extra noise and mess. If you’re looking for a quieter spot to study, try the second and third floor of Stapleton, our “Quiet Floors.” Maybe even try our new study carrels!

Please note: We have not yet begun the new 24/5 hours. Regular library hours are as follows:

  • Sunday: 11:00 a.m.–12:45 a.m.
  • Monday–Thursday: 7:45 a.m.–12:45 a.m.
  • Friday: 7:45 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
