McGowan to Serve as Pennsylvania Psychological Association Conference Chair

Mark McGowan, associate professor in the Educational and School Psychology Department, will serve as the Pennsylvania Psychological Association (PPA) conference chair through 2014.

The 2014 Spring Conference will be held April 11, 2014, at Eden Resort and Suites in Lancaster, Pa.

The purpose of PPA is to advance psychology in Pennsylvania as a means of promoting human welfare. This is carried out through activities that advocate vigorously for public access to psychological services, educate and support the professional development of PPA members, educate the public through disseminating and applying psychological knowledge, and maintain and build organizational strength.
