Psychology’s Kaniasty Presents Papers and Symposia, Leads Scholarly Society in Europe

Krys Kaniasty in EuropeKrys Kaniasty, Department of Psychology, presented a paper entitled “Personal and community resources as moderators of the relationship between common political life events and subjective well-being” (co-author: U. Jakubowska, Polish Academy of Sciences) at the 34th international conference of the Stress and Anxiety Research Society (STAR), July 1–3, 2013, in Faro, Portugal.

Kaniasty also served as a discussant in two symposia organized by stress scholars from Australia—“Health, well-being, and coping” and “Resourcing parents and children to be resilient copers.”

As the president of the Stress and Anxiety Research Society, he was engaged in numerous official functions and meetings.

Kaniasty also presented an invited lecture at the Institute of Psychology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw (Poland), June 13: “Can appraisals of common political life events influence subjective well-being?”
