A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Friday, August 16, 2013,
for the Crimson Café. This new dining facility is Phase I of IUP Dining
dining master plan.
The weather was perfect—sunny and 70—and no doubt contributed to the nice turnout for the groundbreaking ceremony.
Student speaker Steven Dausey is president of the Residence Hall Association and is also a community assistant. He shared his excitement about the changes and how important it will be to students. “You have no idea how much time is spent in a student’s day deciding when and where we are going to eat!”
Let the dirt fly! President Driscoll and many other IUP dignitaries and representatives pierced the ground with commemorative shovels.
