Got a Religious Studies paper that you’d love others to read? Did you recently write or are you writing a paper for any Religious Studies course that you think is pretty good? Want to have the chance to win a prize (and eternal fame) for your work?

Enter the Religious Studies Department essay contest! We are now taking submissions for this year’s R. Thomas Schaub Religious Studies essay contest. Follow the link for full guidelines.

Please read and follow the full set of guidelines, but the basics are that the paper needs to be 8–15 pages in length (not counting title page or bibliography) and must be academic—that is, scholarly in nature. The deadline for submissions is May 8, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. in the Religious Studies Department office, Sutton 452.

We will be giving prizes to the top three papers. Winners will receive gift certificates to the Co-Op in the amounts of $150, $75, and $50 for the top three papers respectively.

So send in your essays—your faculty judges will be excited to read your work!
