High Impact Practices ConferencesOn February 14 and 15, 2013, Stephanie Taylor-Davis, along with a team of other IUP faculty and staff, attended Clarion University’s High Impact Practices Conference.

High Impact Practices (HIPs) are known to increase student engagement and lead to better outcomes for students. Examples of HIPs include: first-year seminars, learning communities, collaborative projects, undergraduate research and services, global awareness and study abroad programs, and capstone courses.

Taylor-Davis will share what she has learned with other faculty in the Department of Food and Nutrition and how we can promote best practices with respect to HIPs to benefit our students.
