In the workforce, potential job candidates are defined by what is written on their resume. The resume is an extremely important tool for anyone who wishes to present him or herself as a professional individual. Building a resume, however, is not always an easy task.
A resume workshop hosted by Phi Gamma Nu (PGN) took place on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 8:30 p.m. to help its members learn valuable resume building skills that are necessary for entering the workforce.
Career Development advocates Zak Meuschke and Michael Regan ran the workshop, enthusiastically talking with PGN’s pledges and members of the Career Development Center about resumes, cover letters, internships, jobs, and networking.
“This information was highly valued by everyone in attendance and will greatly apply to each and everyone’s success,” said Brice Boyd, president of PGN.
PGN continuously supplies their members with supplementary skills that are not always learned in a classroom. The resume workshop helped students gain knowledge that will be beneficial in their futures.
