Figuring out what you want to do for the rest of your life is never easy. A great majority of students choose “undeclared” for their major because they still need to figure out what would be the best career path for them. For students like this, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is making life a little easier.
SHRM is putting together an Undeclared Majors Event to be held Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Eberly auditorium. During this event, representatives from a variety of majors within the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology will be available to students seeking help with their career paths.
The beginning of the event will feature a speech from one of the members of SHRM, followed by a guest speaker. Each club within the College of Business Student Advisory Council will present a two-minute speech to students regarding their major and how their club has benefitted them. The representatives wish to encourage undecided students to get involved at IUP and find their niche.
An open question-and-answer segment will take place following the speeches and presentations. Students will be able to walk around and ask questions of the presenters.
For any student who is still undecided about their future, the Undeclared Majors Event is a great opportunity to explore a variety of options.
