The IUP African American Cultural Center (AACC) joined with the Pan-African and Latin American Studies programs to sponsor a visit by Ricardo Campusano, attorney and human rights activist from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to the IUP campus on October 10–11, 2012.
On Thursday, October 11, Campusano will present the workshop “Characteristics and Habits of the Most Effective Leaders: Practical Advice.” This will take place from 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. in Delaney Hall, room B39, at the student leadership development luncheon and workshop for the Maat Student Organization Presidents’ Council.
Admission to this event is free, but RSVP is requested at 724-357-2455.
On Tuesday, October 10, Campusano presented the free lecture “Human Rights Situation of Haitians in the Dominican Republic.”
Campusano’s visit is cosponsored by the Pan-African and Latin American Studies programs and the African American Cultural Center.
