Do students use/abuse cell phones in your classes? If so, you’ll want to be a part of the next Reflective Practice large group meeting on Thursday, October 4, 2012, from 3:30–4:45 p.m. in the Crimson Event Center, Folger Hall.
What are your strategies to keep students OFF of the phone and ON task during your classes? Do you include a policy in your syllabus? Does it work? Do you have any stories to share? Some faculty think, “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em!” and they develop creative ways to USE smart phone technology during class. Azad Ali, Michele Papakie, and Theresa McDevitt have been researching this topic and invite you to join the discussion!
No RSVP necessary.
Refreshments will be served.
