Our Town: Indiana 2012 TV program

IUP Faculty, students, and staff: Here's your chance to share your favorite Indiana story. Indiana County will be featured in an August episode of WPSU-TV’s Our Town series, and everyone is invited to participate.

This day-in-the-life television series treats viewers to the many personalities, perspectives, and possibilities that local towns have to offer.

WPSU-TV is looking for 20–25 enthusiastic Indiana County residents to volunteer as videographers or storytellers. Everyone is invited, from the longtime resident to the new kid on the block. No experience required! Just a willingness to be part of the project.

Volunteers are invited to attend a planning meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.

Volunteers and crew from WPSU-TV will discuss which landmarks, events, and local stories to feature in the documentary. Volunteers will work with WPSU-TV to capture video and still photos to tell the Indiana story.

The production date is Saturday, June 16. The program will be broadcast on Thursday, August 9, during the station's spring on-air membership campaign.
