IUP's Keystone Winds' newest release, "Grace & Glory" was commercially released last week on the Klavier label and is being distributed by Naxos. The disc features the recent band works of the ensemble's conductor, Dr. Jack Stamp
The disc also features IUP faculty Michael Kingan (percussion), and Mary Logan Hastings and Joseph Baunoch (vocalists) in solo recordings with the ensemble. The disc is the ensembles' third release of the music of Dr. Stamp. The disc also features the Hoodlebug Brass Quintet performing Stamp's "Three Turns for Brass Quintet", written 37 years ago while a student at IUP. All in all, the disc features 75 minutes of new music by the composer. In addition, individual tracks of the recording are available on iTunes. The Keystone Winds will be performing a concert on July 1, 2012, at the Skirball Center in New York City entitled "A New York State of Mind," featuring wind band music of New York composers.
