IUP’s Criminology doctoral program will graduate its 100th Ph.D. student in Spring 2012. Shelly Clevenger is the 100th student to successfully complete the program.

She defended her dissertation, “To Register or Not to Register? The Effectiveness of Megan’s Law in Pennsylvania,” on November 30, 2011.

Shelly is currently working in the Department of Criminology as a temporary faculty member. She begins a new faculty position at Illinois State University in the fall.

The Criminology doctoral program is already anticipating the next 100 graduates. Kennethia McIntosh Fuller completed her dissertation, “Personality and Crime: An Examination of the Influence of the Five Factor Model on Offending and Co-Offending,” in February 2012, and five more doctoral students are expected to defend this semester.
