Dante Mancini will demonstrate MonocleCAT on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, from 12:20–1:10 p.m. in Uhler Hall, Room 116.

MonocleCAT is a classroom interaction tool designed to increase student participation and provide an additional basis for grading, particularly in larger classes.

With this system, students respond to questions posed in the classroom using their own cell phones, smartphones, laptops, or other electronic devices, eliminating the need for clickers. The tool is presently used in a very large General Psychology course with great success.

Brown Bag participants are asked to bring their own cell phones, smartphones, tablets, or laptops to take part actively in the demonstration.
