Dr. Richard Hoch, Geography and Regional Planning, was recently notified that he was one of thirty-three planning professionals in the United States who passed the initial American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) exam for Environmental Planner certification.
The Environmental Planner certification is an advanced credential which is granted to AICP certified planners who have demonstrated at least eight years of experience in their respective fields and have successfully passed a rigorous exam.
Dr. Hoch was the only planning academic to pass the exam on its first offering.
