Mathematica Workshops, Sponsored by Mathematics Department and S-COAM Program

The Mathematics Department and the S-COAM program are sponsoring two workshops presented by Dr. Ed Donley on the powerful software Mathematica. Both sessions will be held in Stright Hall 112A and run from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m.

  • Session 1: Introduction to Mathematica September 13

    This hands-on session will familiarize participants with the basic capabilities of Mathematica, including experience with Mathematica's notebook interface and syntax. Topics will include 2D, 3D, and parametric graphing; animations; and equation solving.
  • Session 2: Programming in Mathematica September 15

    Participants will learn to create their own customized functions in Mathematica. Examples will include drawing polygonal spirals and pyramids.
