THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. We apologize for any inconvenience caused, and hope to reschedule a future date.

The IUP Music Department’s Keyboard Area will host its first annual Keyboard Day for pianists aged fourteen to eighteen. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011, in Cogswell and Gorell halls and at Zion Lutheran Church.

Members of the IUP Keyboard faculty—Drs. Clewell, Antonacos, Wong Doe, and Mrs. Kuehn—will be joined by Dr. Matt Baumer from the Music History Department, as well as guest artist and IUP alumus Erik Santos from the University of Michigan.

The day will consist of lessons, master-classes, a Bach Organ Lunch at Zion Lutheran Church, and a final lecture-recital at 4:00 p.m., featuring the music of Franz Liszt. Liszt celebrates his two-hundredth birthday on October 22.

Interested applicants can download an IUP Keyboard Day flyer and application form (PDF).
