A group of Geoscience students and two faculty members are just finishing up a three-week-long summer field course in the Rocky Mountains.
This course challenges the students to apply what they have learned in the classroom and laboratory setting to solving geological problems in the field. They learn important field skills that lead to the construction of a geologic map of the region they were studying. All Geology, Environmental Geology, and Energy Geology students are required to take a field methods course.
