Members of the
Graduate Business Student Association at the
Eberly College of Business and Information Technology visited Chicago on April 7–9, 2011, to see firsthand how businesses operate.
They visited the
Sears Holdings Corp., where they toured the facility and were shown the different services offered in the Sears building, including laundromats, dry cleaners, health-care services, food stations, spas, and grocery stores.
“It was a great experience,” said Seth Mazary. “The building itself is like a small town or campus. It had just about everything that anyone could ever want inside.”
The students also spoke with past Sears’ interns, who introduced them to the BUILD program, an internship-to-hire program developed by Sears.
After Sears, the students spent time experiencing the city by shopping and sightseeing.
