If you haven't yet made your contribution to the University Family Campaign, there is still time. The campaign has been extended for a week, and faculty and staff members who participate will be eligible for a drawing and raise their departments' participation rate.
Visit the University Family Campaign page to learn more about the prize drawing, which will occur on I-Give Day, Thursday, April 7.
Contributions to the University Family Campaign may be designated to any department within the university, in addition to numerous scholarship funds and other initiatives. In addition to directly assisting the university in its mission, contributions to the campaign help the university state the case for attracting private funds from private entities and raising the university's level in ranking guides.
"Your participation serves as an endorsement of confidence in your university and in our students' potential. It helps us attract corporate and foundation dollars. Many corporations and foundations look at participation rates as they determine which institutions to support. There are many programs at IUP that could benefit from the extra assistance from corporations and foundations. When we stand united in our mission and purpose, the students benefit through that increased support. To attract that increased level of support, we need your participation," said Emily Smeltz, director of Annual Giving.
Gifts may be made through payroll deduction on forms distributed to all employees in February or via credit card. See the University Family Campaign page for links to forms and information.
"We thank everyone who has supported the campaign to date," said Sheila Rawlings, the campaign's coordinator.
