Geoscience student Daniel O’Hara has been accepted to the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates Program.

The VIMS internship program is a highly selective summer program that pairs undergraduate students with marine scientists. Students work closely with these mentors on an individual research project focusing on their area of interest (fisheries science, toxicology, ecology, physical oceanography, or geology).

O’Hara will be working closely with Dr. Tara Kniskern and Dr. Courtney Harris on three-dimensional sediment transport modeling on continental shelves.
