Family and Consumer Sciences Education Faculty Accomplishments

Following is a list of accomplishments from the past year for Human Development and Environmental Studies Department faculty members in Family and Consumer Sciences Education:

  • Dr. Sally McCombie, Dr. Terri Owens, and Dr. Janet Blood presented “Fashion Merchandising: A Thriving Career Field,” at the thirty-sixth annual Pennsylvania Career and Technical Education Conference in Lancaster, Pa., in June 2010.
  • McCombie, Owens, and Blood, along with Family and Consumer Science Education students H. Dravecky and G. Chilson presented “Strengthening Secondary and Middle Level Fashion/Sewing Programs” at the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Conference in Cleveland, Ohio, in June 2010.
  • McCombie was elected to serve on the American Association of Family Consumer Sciences National Nominating Committee beginning in 2011.
