Tired of seeing that pile of unused shoes at the bottom of your closet? Bring them to the Soles4Souls Shoe Drive on Monday–Friday, March 21–25, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the HUB Fitness Center Atrium.
Used cell phones will also be collected and turned in to Verizon Wireless HomeLine program, where they will be given to local nonprofit advocacy agencies, such as the Alice Paul House of Indiana County, for use by survivors of domestic violence.
The shoe drive is cosponsored by the Office of Service Learning and Michael B Shoes in Indiana.
Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away nearly 12 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes to people in more than 125 countries, including Kenya, Thailand, Nepal, and the United States.
A $5-off coupon for Michael B Shoes will be given as a thank you for your generous donation.
