About the PACT Conference

PACT sponsors two conferences each year. Usually, these conferences are held on the campuses of State System schools. The purpose of these conferences is to

  1. Provide trustees with professional development that will support their responsibilities
  2. Give host universities the opportunity to showcase outstanding faculty/staff/student programs and projects.

IUP has been chosen to host this year’s fall conference.

About PACT

The Pennsylvania Association of Councils of Trustees (PACT) is an organization composed of members of the Councils of Trustees from each of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education’s fourteen universities. Trustees are nominated and appointed by the governor of Pennsylvania with the advice and consent of the Pennsylvania Senate.

Each of the fourteen Councils of Trustees is charged with establishing academic programs and schools for consideration by the Board of Governors; reviewing and approving annual operating and capital budgets, fees, purchases, and contracts; participating in university and System-wide strategic planning; reviewing and approving policies and procedures governing the use of university facilities and property; conducting annual inspections of university facilities; and evaluating university presidents.
