The following information, posted by the Office of Communications, was provided by the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education regarding its new website:
PASSHE exists first and foremost for our students. Our number one shared goal is to help our students succeed in their careers and in their lives. On Thursday, December 16, 2010, we will introduce a newly formatted website that has been designed with that goal in mind.
When you go to the new PASSHE website, you will see a site primarily targeted to students and families, with an entirely new look and feel. The new site will serve as a gateway for potential students and their families as they go about their college search and selection process, and it will allow them to easily navigate to the individual university sites for more specific information.
Another new feature of the site is geared toward potential vendors who wish to do business with PASSHE. This information can be accessed by clicking on the “Inside PASSHE” and/or “Business Partners” tabs on the toolbar that will run across the top of the newly designed home page.
Additionally, we understand that many employees use the existing PASSHE site to access information pertinent to organizational policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives. Much of this information will continue to be available to you via the “Inside PASSHE” section of the new site.
The current site will remain available to PASSHE employees until mid-January. This will help to ensure that all information on the site remains accessible to you during a transition period. The link to the existing site will be available under the “Inside PASSHE” tab. Access will require you to log in using your network password. (Please note that access to the secure site will remain unchanged.) In mid-January, the current site will be disabled.
Once the new site is active, if there is information that you cannot find, please contact Sara Firestone at 717-720-4021, and we will work to migrate that content to the new location.
We invite you to check out the new website. We are excited about this new approach to providing services to our potential students and their families, as well as PASSHE employees and the public.
