The Department of Counseling is expanding and will now offer two full-time daytime graduate programs: one in Secondary School Counseling on IUP’s main campus, and one in Community Counseling at the Monroeville Graduate and Professional Center.
“This expansion provides an exciting opportunity for our Monroeville location,” said Donna Griffith, assistant dean for Administration of the School of Graduate Studies and Research. “The center offers a state-of-the-art environment for learning. The faculty members are fully engaged in the learning process and have a strong history of exemplifying the teacher-scholar model. We believe the program will meet a significant need in the Pittsburgh region.”
This expansion builds upon the successful evening-only programs offered by the Counseling Department and provides additional options for prospective students to pursue their degree. Recruiting efforts for all department programs are well underway for Summer and Fall 2011, with several information sessions already planned.
Prospective applicants for the Indiana campus are encouraged to contact Dr. Claire Dandeneau, chairperson of the department, at email@example.com. Those interested in the Monroeville Professional Center location can contact Dr. Robert Witchel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
