After being down in the first quarter, IUP scored 23 unanswered points in a 23-17 win over East Stroudsburg in a PSAC crossover game September 11.

Last week’s win followed a 16-6 victory over Southern Connecticut State in the season opener September 4 at Miller Stadium.

Former Lycoming standout Eric Anthony has been named the second assistant on the IUP men’s basketball coaching staff. He is replacing Kranthi Senadhi, who left after the 2009–2010 season to pursue other interests.

Women’s Soccer

After defeating Shepherd 10-0 in its season opener September 4, the women’s soccer team tied California and later suffered losses to Shippensburg and Edinboro.

The Crimson Hawks look to get back on the winning track as they host Clarion in PSAC action Saturday.

The men’s and women’s swim teams volunteered at the 9-11 Run for Kids 5-kilometer and 2-kilometer Fun Walk at Blue Spruce Park. The event benefited the local Y’s Strong Kids Campaign.

Women’s Tennis
