Seguin, a 25-plus-year fashion and marketing executive and current chief marketing officer of Altar’d State, brings extensive experience in brand building, creative strategy, marketing, and consumer engagement to the board of directors.

As CMO of Altar’d State and Stand Out For Good, Inc., Seguin leads brand, creative, marketing, and digital strategy for a growing portfolio of purpose-driven brands. Throughout her career, she has helped shape some of the fashion industry’s most recognizable and influential brands, including American Eagle, Aerie, Spanx, Chico’s, and RG Barry Brands.

Seguin began her career at American Eagle Outfitters, where she transitioned from merchandising into marketing and spent 15 years building her expertise across brand strategy, advertising, creative, public relations, and consumer engagement. As senior director of Aerie Marketing, she helped develop and launch the groundbreaking Aerie Real campaign, which challenged traditional fashion advertising by eliminating retouched imagery and celebrating women as they are. The campaign became a defining moment for the Aerie brand and helped establish a new standard for authenticity and inclusivity in fashion marketing.

At Spanx, Seguin led creative and marketing initiatives during a significant period of brand evolution, helping expand the company’s positioning beyond shapewear into a broader apparel brand. She oversaw a comprehensive brand redesign across packaging, digital, photography, and consumer communications, and helped introduce new apparel categories and the brand’s first advertising campaign for leggings. Working closely with the founder and executive leadership, she helped shape the brand’s creative vision and consumer experience during a pivotal period of growth. As chief marketing officer of RG Barry Brands, she expanded her leadership across a broader portfolio of brands and gained valuable experience working with executive leadership, boards, and private equity stakeholders.

Across her career, Seguin has been recognized for combining bold creative thinking with strong business strategy and for building brands that create meaningful connections with consumers. Her work has consistently focused on the intersection of culture, confidence, inclusivity, and purpose.

An alumna of IUP’s Fashion Merchandising program, Seguin was president of the IUP Fashion Association and a founding member of the university’s women’s rugby team. Her connection to IUP has remained an important part of her personal and professional journey, and she is passionate about giving back to the university and helping prepare the next generation of students for careers in fashion, marketing, business, and creative leadership.

Seguin is also the author of My Best Friend Charlie, a children’s book inspired by her rescue dog, Charlie. The book reflects her passion for storytelling and her commitment to giving back, with proceeds benefiting Animal Friends of Pittsburgh.
