Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Office of International Education will host a variety of events, all open to the community, during International Education Week October 15 through October 19.

The week's events include a naturalization ceremony on October 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex, which will include more than 70 persons taking the oath of citizenship. The ceremony, free and open to the community, will include remarks from IUP President Michael Driscoll. IUP music major Benjamin Strong will sing the “Star Spangled Banner” and “America the Beautiful” during the ceremony.

International Education Week is a joint initiative between the United States Department of State and United States Department of Education to promote cross-cultural awareness, prepare students for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.

Funding for the week's events is provided by the Office of International Education and IUP Student Co-Operative Association.
