The Undergraduate Scholars Forum and the Graduate Scholars Forum during the 2017 Research Appreciation Week at IUP showcased research, art, and music by more than 300 IUP students.
The two events were held at the Hadley Union Building on April 4 and 5, 2017 and were well attended by IUP faculty, students, and staff.
Each forum featured a poster session in the Ohio Room where students discussed their findings with judges and curious attendees, as well as oral presentations in break out rooms where students gave a 15-minute presentation on their research to a small audience.

“Food Insecurity: Finding a Solution to a Growing Family Issue” by Carolyn Kenyon, Ashley Whigham, and Ashley Tomasko, Department of Child Development and Family Relations
The Graduate Scholars Forum included, for the second year, the Three Minute Thesis Final Competition.
After the six finalists presented, a panel of judges voted for the winner of the Judges' Award and audience members voted via text message for the Peer Choice Award.
