Early this morning, the campus experienced a power outage due to an electrical problem near Wilson Hall.

While generators were used to keep electrical systems on (including lights and electricity for most buildings and the security systems in the residence halls), the university network (e-mail, wi-fi, learning support systems) was not available until power was restored at 1:00 p.m. today.

All buildings are now restored to normal operating status except for Wilson Hall. Power is expected to be restored there by Friday.

Online systems will be coming back online throughout the afternoon, with all systems expected to be operational by late afternoon.

Classes are continuing as scheduled.

The HUB administrative offices and Co-op Store remain closed for the rest of the day today. The HUB will open at 3:00 p.m. and programs there will continue as scheduled.

We are aware that the emergency notification system voice messages were not as clear as they should have been, and we are working to correct this issue. Thank you for your patience during the time of the power outage.
