Nafee Harris won his fourth long jump national championship on the first day of the NCAA indoor track and field meet in Albuquerque, N.M., Friday, March 11, 2011.

Harris added to his national titles in the 2009 outdoor and 2010 indoor and outdoor meets with a jump of 25 feet, 2½ inches.

His jump was ten inches longer than that of runner-up Aaron Hill of Grand Canyon.

Leander Toney was edged out for the title in the high jump Friday. His jump of 7-0½ matched that of Corey Thomas, of Stonehill, and Edward Dudley, of Lake Erie, but Thomas claimed the title based on fewer misses during the competition.

On the women's side, Brianna Liebold finished sixth in the long jump and tenth in the triple jump.

Harris, Toney, and Liebold repeated as All-Americans this year, and Liebold was named the NCAA Atlantic Region Field Indoor Field Athlete of the Year.

IUP swimmer Jackie Hynson also made her mark this weekend at nationals.

She broke two PSAC all-time records at the NCAA swim meet, which ended Saturday, March 12, in San Antonio, Texas.

Hynson set conference records in both the 200 backstroke and 200 butterfly, finishing third in both events for the second straight year.

She also finished sixth in the 400 individual medley.
