Last May, Director of Bands Timothy A. Paul submitted live, unedited recordings of the IUP Wind Ensemble—featuring repertoire performed in Fisher Auditorium during the 2024–25 academic year—to the College Band Directors National Association for consideration to perform at the 2026 CBDNA Eastern Division Conference, which will be held at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (MA).
Following a blind peer-review process, the IUP Wind Ensemble was selected to perform at the conference. Their concert is scheduled for March 21, 2026, at 2:30 p.m.
Among the more than 200 member institutions in the Eastern Division, the IUP Wind Ensemble is one of only five juried ensembles invited to perform at this prestigious event. This invitation stands as a testament to the ongoing dedication of our Music Department faculty and students to achieving the highest standards of musicianship and performance.
