Aziegbemi Okisamen, a student in the MS in Applied Mathematics program, saw the publication of his co-authored work "On The Derivation and Implementation of a Fifth-Stage Fourth-Order Runge-Kutta Formula for Solving Initial Value Problems in Ordinary Differential Equations" in International Organization of Scientific Research Journal of Mathematics.

Aziegbemi OkisamenOkis, as he likes to be known, follows up a week in which he was honored by Sheetz with its 2020 intern award with the publication of this article with his friend and co-author, Ononogbo Chibuike Benjamin.

In this paper, the authors derive a new fifth-stage, fourth-order Runge-Kutta formula for solving initial value problems in Ordinary Differential Equations. They compared their method with the classical Runge-Kutta formula through the computation of some tested initial value problems to determine the level of performance, consistency, and accuracy of their new method. The paper is published inIOSR Journal of Mathematics (IOSR-JM), Volume 16, Issue 4, Ser. IV, pp. 29-39.

Okis is from Uromi, Edo State, Nigeria. He has a degree in industrial mathematics from Ambrose Alli University, Edo State, Nigeria. during which he interned as a field officer at the National Bureau of Statistics, Edo State, Nigeria. Okis worked as a mathematics teacher at Command Day Secondary School, Abuja (Nigeria), and as a part-time further mathematics teacher at the Naowa College, Abuja. He also worked as a data entry USAID contractor at Chemonics International, Abuja.
