The end of the semester is always a busy time for the IUP Community Music School with recitals and concerts, and this semester is no exception. Over the next few weeks the following three recitals will be taking place.

Cynthia HayhurstThe first recital takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, in DiCicco Hall (Room 121) of Cogswell Hall and is presented by IUPCMS flute instructor Cynthia Hayhurst as a joint recital with fellow flutist Alyssa Brandle. The recital is fulfilling the requirements for a BSEd in music education for both students.

Cynthia will be playing Poem by Charles Griffes and Arca Sacra by Cynthia Folio. Alyssa will perform Kokopeli by Katherine Hoover and Movement 1, Tendre, and Movement 3, Clair, of the Sonatine pour Flute et Piano by Darious Milhoud. The recital is free and open to the public, and will also be livestreamed.
