The Application for the Exercise Science Minor should be submitted to the department office for Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Science.

Required Courses: 12 credits

KHSS 221 Human Structure and Function- 3 credits

KHSS 285 Group/Individual Exercise Leadership- 3 credits

KHSS 286 Personal Training Practicum- 3 credits

KHSS 343 Physiology of Exercise- 3 credits

Elective Courses: 6 credits

Students can select two courses from the following:

KHSS 375Physiological Basis of Strength Training and Conditioning - 3 credits

KHSS 411 Physical Fitness Appraisal - 3 credits

KHSS 413Physical Activity and Aging - 3 credits

KHSS 415Lifestyle Behavior Management for Physical Activity - 3 credits

*Completion of the Exercise Science minor does not guarantee entry into the Exercise Science major. Students desiring transfer into the Exercise Science major must have a minimum 2.5 overall GPA Students must attain a grade of C or better in each of the courses. Students must take KHSS 221 before any other class in the minor. (BIOL 150 may be substituted)
