As we move into the spring semester, IUP Dining is announcing changes to meet the needs of the campus community during the COVID-19 pandemic while also providing a more sustainable footprint.

The following locations will be closed for the spring 2022 semester:

  • The Fire Place
  • Burger Studio and Cheese Please
  • Einstein Bros. Bagels
  • Putt P.O.D.

Favorite items from the Fire Place will be featured at North Dining as part of the regular menu this spring. Whole pizzas from the Fire Place will be available for purchase on Grubhub, with pickup at North Dining. The dinner menu at North Dining will also expand to include made-to-order pasta, stir fry, and walking tacos.

Mashville will move from the Crimson Café to the Hawk HUB food court, replacing Revolve. The food court will open at 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday and offer grab-and-go breakfast items. The Hawk HUB will also expand its meal-exchange offerings with weekly specials and pop-ups.

The P.O.D. bagged-lunch program is moving to the Crimson Café. Bulk candy, along with top-selling items from the Putt P.O.D. will move to the Hawk HUB. Starbucks and Bento will remain open at the Crimson Café.

In addition, IUP Dining is planning many events for the spring semester. First is a kickoff Fire and Ice Gala at dinner on Thursday, January 20, in North Dining. This surf-and-turf-themed event is included at no upcharge with the use of a meal swipe for all meal-plan holders. Members of the IUP community without a meal plan can pay the standard dinner rate to attend the Gala.

Other events will include the return of our monthly teaching kitchen, Create Kitchen, along with more pop-up swipes at Starbucks and Chick-fil-A and weekly themed events in North Dining. IUP Wing Night will be back by popular demand. Check out IUP Dining’s social media for more information.
