The IUP Health Service will be closed for patient care starting on December 14, 2020, and will reopen with the start of the spring 2021 semester on January 19. The administrative offices will remain open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during this time. Students needing medical advice related to COVID or other medical topics can call 724-357-2550. In case of emergency, please call 9-1-1.

Students who need COVID-19 testing during winter break can call the Health Service for advice on where to go. Local testing options during this time include:

Both facilities can test symptomatic individuals, Close contacts of confirmed positive cases can get tested after a five- to seven-day wait time.

Students preparing for winter break can still get tested at IUP before the end of the semester. The IUP Health Service will be open between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. until Friday, December 11, 2020. Available options include rapid tests for anyone exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, or PCR tests (with results in up to three days) for anyone who has been exposed, needs to be screened, or needs a proof of test for their travels.
