Join the Haven Project and Sigma Chi to learn about the Red Zone, Green Dot, and how we all can play a part to make our campus safer for everyone.

  • Date:  Monday, September 20, 2021
  • Time:  7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

What is the Red Zone? The first six weeks on a college/university campus—from the first day on campus to November—are known as the Red Zone, when first-year students are at the highest risk of encountering sexual violence.

A period of time that typically occurs during the start of the fall semester through Thanksgiving break when more than 50 percent of sexual assaults occur on college campuses. —shatteringthesilence.org

 What is Green Dot?

Green Dot is a Bystander Intervention Program.  By equipping students, faculty, administrators, and staff with information about barriers to action and realistic solutions, we can mobilize our campuses and communities.

Twenty to 25 percent of college women and 15 percent of college men are victims of forced sex during their time in college. —nsvrc.org

Together we can turn the Red Zone Green!

Sexual assault is a difficult topic to vocalize, so we want to provide resources if anyone would need to reach out.
