Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Institute for Cyber Security will host senior personnel from the Department of War’s Naval Supply Systems Command Business Systems Center on November 9, 2026. The presentation will take place at 11:20 a.m. in Wilson Hall, Room 107.
Since 2018, the ICS has been awarded funding to support full-ride scholarships for cybersecurity and computer science students through the DoW Cyber Service Academy. A benefit of this scholarship program is a paid internship with the Department of War.
NAVSUP has served as an internship site for many CSA scholarship awardees, and representatives will visit with students, faculty, and staff to discuss the IUP cybersecurity bachelor’s degree program, ongoing programs and initiatives at the ICS, and internship opportunities available to students.
Waleed Farag, director of the IUP Institute for Cyber Security, said, “I am very honored that NAVSUP has continued to support our students through internships and these biannual visits to campus. I am grateful for our strong relationship with them, and I look forward to another opportunity to discuss the great things we are doing at the ICS, along with hearing more about the opportunities they have available for our talented students.”
