Biography

Jamie Martin has been a part of the IUP faculty since fall 2000. Her current research interest focuses on the use of house arrest/electronic monitoring with probationers. Martin won a Center for Teaching Excellence Award in 2004 and the Outstanding Teacher Award in the College of Health and Human Services in 2008. Currently, she serves as the coordinator of the MA online program. She also serves on the University Graduate Committee and is cochair of the University Common Freshman Reader selection committee. She has published a book, Inside Looking Out: Jailed Fathers' Perceptions about Separation from Their Children, and has had journal articles appear in the Journal of Criminal Justice Education and in the American Journal of Criminal Justice.
