It's On Us IUP to…

  • Recognize that non-consensual sex is sexual assault
  • Identify situations in which sexual assault may occur
  • Intervene in situations where consent has not been given
  • Create an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.

Statistics from RAINN.org

  • Among undergraduate students, 26.4 percent of females and 6.8 percent of males experience rape or sexual assault through physical force, violence, or incapacitation.
  • Male college-aged students (18-24) are 78 percent more likely than non-students of the same age to be a victim of rape or sexual assault.
  • 23.1 percent of TGQN (transgender, genderqueer, nonconforming) college students have been sexually assaulted.
