Comm Media faculty member Zack Stiegler has been awarded the 2024 Faculty Scholar Award.
Stiegler joined the Comm Media faculty in 2009. His teaching and research is on media law and policy, radio studies and production, media theory, and popular music. Recently, Stiegler co-authored a book titled Musical Intimacy, which provides a detailed analysis of popular music's composition, performance, production, and promotion and examines how intimacy is constructed and perceived in popular music through its affective and technological affordances.
The award from IUP's College of Education and Communications recognizes Stiegler's achievement and success in his scholastic endeavors.
