Position Summary & Description
The Center for Civic Dialogue seeks six undergraduate students to join its Student Outreach Team. Rather than simply promoting the Center's programs, team members will help shape the Center's public voice, ensuring that its outreach reflects the interests, creativity, humor, and perspectives of IUP students. They will play an important role in building the Center's campus presence and fostering a welcoming, student-centered community where people can explore ideas, engage across differences, and learn more about civic life. The position offers students an opportunity to gain valuable experience in communications, outreach, event promotion, and collaborative project development while helping shape one of IUP's newest campus initiatives.
Position Qualifications
Successful candidates will be creative, dependable, collaborative, and enthusiastic about helping build a new campus resource. Strong communication skills and an interest in working with fellow students are essential. Experience with social media, graphic design, photography, videography, or content creation is welcome but not required. Students from all majors are encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions

Create engaging social media content that reflects the student perspective.

Develop creative outreach campaigns and promotional materials.

Represent the Center at campus events, information tables, and other outreach activities.

Promote workshops, dialogues, trainings, speakers, and special events.

Assist with the design and distribution of flyers, digital communications, and other promotional materials.

Gather student feedback and ideas to help shape the Center's outreach, programming, and campus presence.

Collaborate with Center staff and fellow team members to develop new ways of connecting with students.

Assist with other outreach, communications, and visibility initiatives as assigned.
