The Center for Family Business supports family business owners through educational forums on succession, valuation, communication, leadership, and other areas of interest in a solicitation-free seminar or round table discussion with peers.
The Center annually recognizes family businesses that have achieved excellence in their industry, have successfully transferred ownership to the next generation, and have made a contribution to their community at the Family Business Award Program.
Center membership is open to business owners, their adult children, and extended family members employed by the business. Key non-family managers and professional advisors to the family are also welcome to attend all activities. Join by completing the online membership form or contact the Center for Family Business to register. There is no fee for membership or consultation.
The Center was founded in 1997 by Walter L. Lewis, Smith, Lewis, Chess & Company; Brien Wall, Mass Mutual Pittsburgh; Robert B. Williams, Williams Coulson Attorneys at Law; Dr. Cynthia L.
