Professor Emeritus of Biology Tom Simmons moderated a session and was an invited speaker at the 52nd annual meeting of the Pennsylvania Vector Control Association held in State College from October 20th to 22nd, 2025.
He presented an update on the Lyme disease vaccine currently in development by Valneva and Pfizer. Simmons is a participant in the ongoing phase 3 clinical trial. The meeting was attended by local, county, and state employees, university faculty, other members of the research community, and industry representatives working in fields related to disease vector control.
