Visitor Guidelines

We're excited to welcome you to Indiana University of Pennsylvania in person to see for yourself what life is like on campus. To ensure the health and safety of the IUP community and our visitors, we have put in place the following measures based on public health directives from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the CDC:

Before your visit

We require all visitors to register in advance of arriving on campus. To register for a campus tour, go to our visit page. We are not able to accommodate walk-in visitors at this time due to space and social distancing guidelines.

Check for COVID-19 symptoms

We ask you to perform a COVID-19 symptom assessment before arriving on campus. Please refrain from visiting campus if you do not feel well or if you have been in contact with someone who has contracted COVID-19.

Face coverings & hygiene

Effective Tuesday, August 17, at 8:00 a.m. IUP will require face coverings/masks to be worn indoors in public spaces at all campuses and centers. This is required of all people, regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status.

Our public restrooms will be available for use. We strongly encourage abiding by public health guidelines, including washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds and using hand sanitizer.

Bottled water will be available when you check in. If you're a coffee or tea drinker, plan on bringing your own to campus. And while we eagerly anticipate meeting you in person, our admission staff will not be shaking hands out of an abundance of caution - please don't be offended.

On the day of your visit

On the day of your scheduled campus tour, please check-in at the Office of Undergraduate Admissions no more than 10 minutes prior to your visit time. Additional information on arriving to campus will be included in your confirmation and reminder emails.

For the safety of our campus community we are limiting the number of interior buildings that tour groups will enter.

You will have the opportunity to meet with an admissions counselor prior to your tour of campus so that we're sure to address any questions that you may have for us.

For questions

If you have any questions about your upcoming visit, email or call 724-357-2230. Any changes to campus operations will be posted on our visit page.
