Collins to Perform and Teach for Marshall University Tuba Day

IUP Music Department faculty member Dr. Zach Collins will perform and teach as a guest artist during Marshall University’s 2010 Tuba Day.

Collins will perform alongside George Palton (Marshall University), Sean Greene (Lincoln Memorial University), and Lloyd Bone (Glenville State University) the event’s resident tuba/euphonium quartet. Their performance will feature arrangements and compositions by Collins and IUP theory/composition student Anthony O’Toole.

Collins will also give a master class on incorporating the use of recording into musicians’ practice sessions.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 10, beginning at 9 a.m. The event is free and open to the public. More information can be found on the Tuba Day website.
