As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, IUP at Punxsutawney made a contribution of $215 toward the American Cancer Society’s efforts to finding better treatments or even a cure for breast cancer.
For the second year, IUP at Punxsutawney has organized a philanthropy on campus during IUP Family Weekend to bring awareness to parents, faculty, staff, students, and community members about this disease and the difference we can make in our society. As a fundraiser, the IUP at Punxsutawney students sold breast cancer t-shirts that were donated by Standard Pennant Company, a local screen printing business in Punxsutawney.
IUP’s Punxsutawney regional campus would like to thank all who participated in making this service learning project a success.
