Dr. Mary Swinker and Dr. Jin Su developed and presented “How to Wear Your Jeans” in How to Wear Your Genes events at the Spirit of Women Hospital Network, Indiana Regional Medical Center, Pa., June 18, 2009.
Dr. Fredalene Bowers, Dr. Kris Ramassini, and Dr. Sarah Brown presented a workshop called “Researching, Reflecting and Embracing Cultural and Linguistic Diversity” at the annual Higher Education Institute: It’s Our Future: Investing in Each and Every Child, Grantville, Pa., on June 1, 2009.
Dr. Sarah Brown presented her research titled “Chronic and Severe Peer Rejection: Impact on Children’s Engagement in School” at the biennial meeting of the Society for Research in Child Development in Denver, Colo., on April 2, 2009.
Dr. Fredalene Bowers and Ms. Marion R. Henry presented the workshop “Effective Advocacy for Teen Parenting Programs” at the twenty-ninth annual National Healthy Teen Network Conference, Albuquerque, N.M., in November 2008.
Dr. Fredalene Bowers received the Center for Teaching Excellence’s Faculty Recognition Award for Academic Advising and Mentoring in April 2009.
Dr. Jin Su was recognized as an Outstanding Professor (voted by student members) for Spring 2009 by the Panhellenic Association at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Jin Su’s article “Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Selection in the U.S. Textile-Apparel-Retail Supply Network” was published in the Clothing and Textiles Research Journal.
Dr. Fredalene Bowers’ article “Developing a Child Assessment Plan: An Integral Part of Program Quality” was published in Child Care Exchange, November-December, 2008.
Dr. Sarah Brown has coauthored two book chapters that will be published this summer and fall. The first will appear in The Handbook of Bullying in Schools: An International Perspective. The second is in the Handbook on Motivation at School.
Dr. Janet Blood has published a dress in Threads magazine.
Dr. Kris Ramassini developed and taught a new class called “Early Intervention.”
